I've been wanting to do a 1.9 wraith for about 2 years and finally im making one :-) I've no idea what I'm going to do with it body wise and unsure whether to do the fastback mod im thinking of having a go at making a body my self now it's winter but first thing to do is dismantle it and clean it like I always do it's gone from this
to this
next job put it all back together and make a start on the links ::yikes

The colour looks quite nice on it already, are you going to stick with it or do you have something else in mind? I like 1.9 Wraiths, they look more scale to me ::eek

I'm in the middle of trying to remove the paint from the panels and hood I do like the myself but making it mine if you know what I mean ::thumb:: I'm thinking for the new colour metallic purple :hmmm: and totally agree about them looking more scale being a 1.9 would look even better with scx10 2 or ascender axles or even them SSD axles that replace the stock scx10 ones

If you happen to sell those axles Jamie, let me know, I'd like a pair of AR60s ::thumb::

Been tinkering with a different body for the wraith started with a deadbolt body
cut the interior out
placed the body on top to see what it would look like
and this is it pretty much in its final place still have a bit more trimming to do but looks ok to me

I might move the front back a little I'm going to wait until I've got a different set of tires first as I'm looking for bigger ones so might fill the gap a little bit more

started on the fastback conversion :) started of with some RC4WD mini rod ends
removed the balls and drilled the middle out to 7mm
so that they only just fit over the bars on the cage like so
now comes the nervy bit cutting the rear cage off

Finished the fastback mod :-)
unsure if I'll have it like this or have it the running straight to the back part of the cage like normal but this way I can fit a spare tyre or do a pick up style wraith? I'll see when I sort out the new body when I fill like hacking up a brand new body that is

Option 2. You've got a full floor, show it off.

Option 1 looks better and you'll rarely be looking directly side on at eye level, makes little difference IMO?

Both options look cool but I really like how the doors match the cage in option 1. The mod you've done to the back of the cage is awesome too.

It's been said already but I feel the front wheels are a tiny bit too forward.. I think it's mainly because the arch drops at the front which emphasises the fact it's not central - maybe you could just cut the front of the arch straight if you don't want to change the wheelbase? It's a real minor point though to be fair and the whole thing looks brill. ::thumb::
...It all started with Tamiya, was enhanced by Axial and then fulfilled by RC4WD...

I'm still trying to find bigger tyres first before I shorten the fron links but it's on the list to do ::thumb:: hopefully the bigger tyres might fill it out abit and it's option 1 that I'm going to use that was my choice aswell :-)
